Dr. Ryan Austin Joins The Plastic Surgery Clinic Team

The Plastic Surgery Clinic is pleased to announce that Dr. Ryan Austin has joined Dr. Frank Lista and Dr. Jamil Ahmad on our surgical team. Dr. Austin is already a familiar face at the clinic as he has performed countless operations at the clinic during his plastic surgery training at the University of Toronto. Thanks to his breadth of knowledge and experience, Dr. Austin is well known for the natural-looking results he achieves with specialties including breast surgery, abdominoplasty, body contouring after weight loss, liposuction and fat transfer, and hand rejuvenation.

Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Austin completed his BSc at Queen’s University where he remained on the Dean’s Honour List with Distinction, a designation granted to the top 3% of all undergraduate students in the arts and science program. He later received his MD at the University of Toronto where he was the recipient of numerous awards. Dr. Austin completed his residency training at the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto—one of the largest plastic surgery training programs in the world. He recently completed clinical fellowship training at The Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center / Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. This orthopaedic hand surgery practice is one of the oldest and most distinguished in the USA.

Dr. Austin wins the Dr. Hugh Thompson Humanitarian award

Dr. Austin remains an active contributor to plastic surgery research. His work has been published as textbook chapters in addition to numerous scientific articles some of the most esteemed peer review plastic surgery journals. These publications include Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (PRS), the Aesthetic Surgery Journal (ASJ) and Clinics in Plastic Surgery. His scientific lectures have been presented at national and international meetings. These accolades offer a small glimpse of an even longer list of impressive achievements.
