A study conducted by Dr. Elvio Bueno Garcia, MD, Ph.D., reveals that women who undergo breast augmentation surgery show improvements to their psychological well-being. The study evaluated a group of women who opted for breast augmentation surgery to correct their asymmetrical breasts. Garcia says that many women who suffer from this condition develop low-self esteem and various levels of depression during their teenage years.

The study evaluated 35 women who underwent breast augmentation, breast lifts, breast reductions, or a combination of these procedures to correct their uneven breasts. Among the life improvements that many of these women experienced were increased social and physical function, elevated overall health, pain improvements, and increased self-esteem.

Study Finds Breast Augmentation Surgery

Boosts Mood

My patients choose breast augmentation surgery to feel better about themselves. That`s the best reason to have cosmetic surgery.
