There are numerous procedures people can undergo to remove sagging skin that occurs after massive weight loss. One of them is a mini tummy tuck, in which lose skin is taken off--sometimes through liposuction–beneath the belly button. The procedure is for people whose conditions are not dire enough to require a total abdominoplasty, takes between one and two hours, and has a recovery time of between one and three weeks.

A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure meant to flatten the abdomen by eradicating extra skin folds and fat; in addition, the surgeon can tighten the abdominal wall's muscles. Tummy tucks, which reshape the abdomen between the breast and the pubic bone, can take five hours or longer to do and two to four weeks to recover from.

A circumferential abdominoplasty is an in-depth abdominoplasty that covers the stomach, sides, and back. The surgery can reshape the buttocks, hips, lower back, and pelvis, and is frequently done after substantial weight loss, bariatric surgery, or multiple pregnancies. It takes five hours or longer to perform the surgery and between two and four weeks to recuperate.

Dr. Lista's POV on:

Because of our association with Surgical Weight Loss Centre, we have a great deal of experience in body contouring after massive weight loss. These people are often some of our most grateful patients.
