The Recovery Process Following Butt Augmentation Surgery

After surgery your butt will be bruised, swollen, and uncomfortable for a day or two, but the pain shouldn't be severe. Any discomfort you do feel can be relieved with medications prescribed by your Mississauga / Toronto butt augmentation surgeon. Most swelling and bruising should disappear after 4 weeks.

You should plan to take a week off after your plastic surgery procedure, limiting your activities to staying home, watching TV or reading books. You should not even be driving, let alone chasing after young children – so plan to make arrangements to get some help if you need it. We understand it can be hard to stop completely, but staying quiet in the first week actually speeds healing and helps achieve the best results from the surgery.

Your stitches will be removed after a week or two. If you had the implant procedure, you will have drains that will require care until your surgeon determines they can be removed.

Following your surgery you should avoid applying direct pressure on the buttock area for 2 weeks. This means that you should not sit. You can stand, walk, lie down, but should avoid sitting directly on the healing area.

You can expect some loss of feeling and numbness, which usually fades as the swelling subsides over the next six weeks or so. In some Toronto / Mississauga buttock augmentation patients it may last a year or more, and occasionally it may be permanent.
