BOTOX® Cosmetic should not be used in the presence of infection at the proposed injection site(s) and in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient in the formulation. The recommended dosage and frequency of administration should not be exceeded. Patients with neuromuscular disorders should not use Botox.

Most of our Toronto BOTOX® patients are excellent candidates for this procedure and do not require special preparations or cautionary measures. However, occasionally treatment with Botox Cosmetic for cosmetic purposes may result in the formation of antibodies. This may reduce the effectiveness of subsequent treatments. However, the potential for antibody formation may be minimized if the lowest effective dose is given with the longest feasible intervals between treatments.
