Restylane and Perlane are FDA-approved for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). The major difference between Restylane and Perlane is that Perlane is composed of larger gel particles than Restylane and is intended for deeper injections to add volume for structural support and lift. Your Toronto Perlane / Restylane nurse specialist will determine your optimal treatment amount. Restylane and Perlane are proven to deliver long-lasting results. Studies have shown that they last six months.

You should not use Restylane or Perlane if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under the age of 18.

Restylane and Perlane should not be used by people with previous bad allergies, particularly to certain microorganisms known as gram positive bacteria, by people with previous bad allergies to drugs that have required in-hospital treatment, or by people with bleeding disorders. Restylane and Perlane should not be injected anywhere except the skin or just under the skin.

The use of Restylane and Perlane at the site of skin sores, pimples, rashes, hives, cysts, or infection should be postponed until healing is complete. Use of Restylane and Perlane in these instances could delay healing or make your skin problems worse.
