Meeting With Your Surgeon

As rhinoplasty is a very individualized procedure, the first thing we do is listen: we listen to your needs, we ask you to describe your concerns and your ideal look, and we help you to identify your goals for rhinoplasty surgery.

Your consultation will involve a careful medical history and a physical examination . Mississauga / Toronto plastic surgeons Dr. Ahmad and Dr. Lista will spend as much time as you need to make sure both you and your rhinoplasty surgeon know exactly what you hope to achieve from your surgery. If you do not live close by, we can arrange a phone consultation using your photos to discuss your concerns and expectations with Dr. Ahmad or Dr. Lista. It may not always be possible to meet all of your expectations with surgery, so it crucial that you understand what is a realistic outcome.

Your plastic surgeon will also instruct you on how to prepare for surgery in order to achieve the best result, including guidelines on eating, drinking, and taking certain vitamins and medications. Smokers should plan to stop smoking for a minimum of one month before surgery and during recovery, as smoking decreases blood circulation interfering with proper healing and can also lead to persistent breathing problems following nasal surgery.
